Anyone want an AEB head?

I was at Pick n Pull the other day and spotted two AEB engines there. Both had the heads attached, so if you're interested they are there for the picking.

Do you mind telling me what cars they were? A4's or Passats?

Make sure to pull the valve cover and check out the cam caps and journals for wear , I found one good one there but a couple that were no good due to the sludge issues on the 058 motors

Was there yesterday, and i only saw one? But its in rough shape, lifter clearance was high. At least on the 99 passat, its gonna need some valvetrain TLC. And its missing the double cam cap.

i would have grabbed the head, but my poly drive 6 point didnt fit :/ anyone know what size those head bolts are?

As far as I know they are a triple square , same as the arp stuff

Should be a 6 point polydrive....... Maybe its still there cause someone tried to take it and stripped the **** out of the heads of the bolts cause they didnt have the right tool?

Could be, when I was there both cars had the valve covers still installed with no obvious signs that they had been touched.

058 1.8t blocks still used the older m12 triple square bit, Not the poly drive.

i took the one off the 99 passat, and it all looked good. too bad the intake valves are bent to hell, with a couple cracked lifters. I hope the others in better condition
