hey guys, so im out in the okanagan right now and went to go for a drive a few days back and leaned into the seat as I was driving and then all of a sudden got thrown way back like a rocking chair. I pulled over and looked at the seat and saw the metal bracket which holds the bottom rail to the seat at the front had sheared right off. I cant believe of all things that this would fail. Needless to say, what do I do now? I have taken some pics of the bracket and today got a very strong wire to hold the seat down for the drive back to Calgary next week but I am not too impressed with this bracket failing. Im not a big guy either, only about 180 lbs and 5'11'' give or take. Any one know what to do or have seen this happen?

Re: R32 seat, WTF!!!!
Never heard of anything like that.
Do you have launch control?
I would say go to the dealership and say wtf? but in all honesty they are probably going to tell you to pound sand. Find somewhere that will weld it for you and be done.

That looks like quite the safety hazard... Imagine that happening if you got into an accident. Law suit anyone?

Re: R32 seat, WTF!!!!
Take that strait to the dealer, that is a defect in the seat it should not matter what you weigh a seat that breaks in this manor is a severe safety issue. Make them fix it by replacing the seat. And if the dealer will not play go right to vwBeen driving VAG for longer then allot of the members have been alive
