DIY's would help a bit but around here we usually just go to each others houses and help them out hence the lack of write ups.

I just did these while I was changing my oil:

              starter grind:
              http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthrea...=starter+grind

              Intercooler clean and de-oil:
              http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthrea...ntercooler+diy

Starter was tough to get out! It was much easier with the bumper off though. Havent heard the noise yet which is awesome! My intercooler only had like a tablespoon of oil in it...lol weirdly I was hoping for more to justify the work! Everything went back together relatively easy. I also wetsanded and polished my headlights since I had them off. Took the car out and no CEL! WOOT!

I just need the parts then should be ready to rock as well as a valve cover gasket. I am always hesitant about doing this just cause timing in my mind is a bit intimidating. Would love a hand with it, I will keep you notified, most likely next weekend.

Well happy early birthday. Two to three weeks may work better, it will allow me to get all the parts needed, gain some extra knowledge on the topic and lastly, clear a spot in the garage.
