Is there yet a vent pod that will fit the mkvi GLI?? Looks like I can get a column pod no problem but would prefer the vent pod. Correct me if im wrong but seems like all the vent pods options only fit the golf/gti... Vortex has a group buy going on for a new P3 gauge being made for the GLI (not ready till july), but not sure if im set on the digital gauge...

          I appreciate the feedback

As far as the difference between the jetta and GLI im not sure wouldnt be surprised if they are the same...

I read this on the same site though...

Specifically designed for the driver’s side vent of the VW Mk6 chassis for the GTI and Golf, the NewSouth Performance Mk6 VentPod is:

But your right it does say 2010 jetta which would be a mkvi...

Also their walkthrough shows the trim around the vent and it's totally different on mine...

Well it says 2010+ and also it doesnt replace the trim its just the directing fins that you replace, so it would just go into your existing vent.

Re: Boost gauge options for MKVI GLI !!!

Ya saw the P3 option but not sold on the idea of a digital gauge, also it takes measurements from the canbus so not sure if there would be a bit of a delay or not...

Did a bit more investigating and have decided to go with the newsouth vent pod... The difference between the jetta and the golf appears to just be the trim around the vent itself. Install will be slightly different than shown on their website but not too big a deal..

While i'm here anyone know how to remove the trim from around the drivers side air vent on a GLI ??

Ya saw that walkthrough but the trim around the air vent in a jetta looks different than on the golf/gti... You cant just go behind and push the vent out, not as easy as described... If i can find a pic of the trim i will try and post...

You can see the trim around the vent stretches over the steering wheel and over to the radio... Pretty sure this whole piece needs to come out before the air vent...

                          Any insight?

Crazy thats odd of vw to have a different dash for the GLI, I bet its held in with tabs and should just pry out.

Give Calgary Autoworks a call (403-243-9661) and Chris or someone should be able to check resources and be able to tell you. I can't find anything online as to removing that piece.
