Looking at a 93 VR6, I'm wondering who I should bring it to, to have it checked over before buying?

    The usual shops... ?

My advice is to make sure it's mint or don't do it, Corrado can be a money pit! VR6 is a good start though I've heard.

Yea, take it to tunedub which has been mentioned lots of times. I would love to have a Corrado VR6, just be prepared to spend time and money, and ideally have another, more reliable car haha.

From the stack of paper work and what he's telling me it seems like a lot of the normal things have been worked on already. And it looks like Tunedub has worked on it a few times too.

Thanks! However it doesn't look as nice as those, but maybe in time.

in addition to mechanical common things to look for are:

If you are familiar with Corrados than sorry ignore this.

Make sure sunroof works and doesn't leak (most quit working)
Make sure spoiler works (Switch on left side of dash or drive over 65km/h)
Make sure power windows work GOOD (if they are kind of iffy you are looking at money)
Heated seats (no brainer) 93 will have leather seats which are usually quite worn

Find out when/if the chains were done.

That said, do it, I think the Corrado VR6, MK4 R32, and Mk1 Scirocco are the only perfect VW's in my opinion.

Don't base your purchase off the sunroof working. Just hope it's closed and never open it. 95% of b3 passat and corrado sunroofs don't work
