  • Adapter size?

It's an mk4 jetta, want to make the front flush.
    18x8 et 52, 215/40 tire.

What size adapter should I get, want to be flush.
Was thinking 25mm to make it et27, thoughts?

    Re: Adapter size?

I have a 17x8 et15 on mine and it pokes a bit when at ride height. My old car had 18x8 et35 and it tucked a bit.

I'd say you'd be right around perfect with 27 or so

      Re: Adapter size?

I have never had an 8" wheel before but i have had a few 8.5's. The only difference will be 1/4" or 6mm. I had a final offset of 20 and it poked about 1/4" so if you want it super flush you might want to think of a 30mm spacer. 25mm will tuck a tiny bit. HOWEVER it also depends on your ride height because the lower you go, the more the wheels suck in. My ftg was just under 23" when i had a final offset of 20 so if you are 24" or higher i would go with your original 25mm adapters.

My BBS LM's are of similar spec. My fronts are 18x8 et50. I run a 25mm adapter (so final offset 25) and the wheels are tucked a bit

If you want flush at a reasonable ride height then go with a 30mm adapter. If you are super slammed, do the 25mm adapters.

        With a 225/40:

Well I went ahead and ordered 30mm, don't know my ride height yet, I'll have to re-adjust my coils so the ride height is proper with the new wheels.
