Is anyone going to FFH that can do the windows and light up needles? I would really appreciate it and give you some money!

Edit: Just came across this. I'll have to give it a shot if I ever get my cable to work.
Let me know if that works. And the manual mentions convenience close of the windows/sunroof by holding up on the drivers window switch, but that doesn't seem to work on my car. Is there a trick to get this to work?

Finally had a chance to take the car out for a drive last night, still getting used to the lag but fun as hell!

I think the convenience close thing might need to be enabled in VAG as well? No idea but that rings a bell, maybe it was MKV's

Really? What method did you try? odd, maybe it doesn't work with MFA clusters.

If everyone is vag-coming it up anyways, other easy and nice ones are turning off the seatbelt chime and for anyone that might be driving an auto, you can change the shift strategy on some to enable the sport mode that is available by a switch on Audi. Also, you can change the tip mode so that the car stays in the gear you ask for, even when you go to redline. (usually the car takes over and shifts, even if in tip and trying to hold it in a particular gear). You'd have to check what cars this works on.

Lets make a thread of all the neat things you can do with VAG, I've tried to search the web for one before and never got anything

Re: Rolling up windows with keyfob

Guess I was too busy watching the cops directing traffic to notice the large "One way" and "No right turn" signs. Do'h. Picking up too many of my girlfriends driving habits Although to my credit, the way they had traffic flowing for the marathon made it look like it was a 2 way street since they only had westbound traffic in the two far lanes. Granted the signs were still pretty clear, checked the dash cam footage and surprised I missed it. Decent of the cop to let me off, he was more surprised than he was upset, haha

Anyway, glad the windows work for you!

Sean what method did you try? This should work for your car

I read today that this overrides the pinch safety cutout so be warned if you have kids or animals in your car.

I have issues with my passenger side window binding a bit then going back down after trying to roll up...is that the "pinch safety cutout" at work you speak of? Because it still does it after the fob mod on my car!

Not sure about mk4's. The post I read was about mk5's and 6's I believe as it was about all these options that can be done with vag-com that the factory doesn't enable. Looks like the dealerships wouldn't enable this one for liability issues.

Yes on MK6s it just requires a quick coding change to enable this.
