  • 1993 Cabby

My brother is very interested in this car. I'm wondering if anyone here knows anything about it.
I'm thinking about going to look at it for him, he lives in Yellowknife. The car seems a bit low in price for what it is.
    Thoughts?

Never took a real good look at it but one of the teachers from when I went to high school owns it. She said it's the favorite car she ever owned. Never blue any smoke or anything when I seen it

Sounds like a nice clean car! Would be a great project. But....Yellowknife? Is he going to drive it all year round? Or summer only? Because it would be a shame to drive that thing year around it will get destroyed.

93's are nice as they have power top and power windows. It should also have heated seats too. That one looks to be in pretty good shape and is in better shape then mine, although I paid less. My bet is the only thing that is wrong is the spedo doesn't work as those always screw up.

Not a year round car...and hopefully I get to drive it up for him. He also has an 85 Westy!

Yeah, I've wanted a cabby since I lived in Calgary In 1991 And a friend had one. My brother is right, just a summer car and one I can still drive while working on. I do also have an 85 westy that I picked up about 6 years ago.
Thanks for the comments! Any thoughts on value?

Yeah that's an awesome price. Looks to be in great shape too.

Too bad I don't have room for it or I definitely consider it.

                I say go for it!

Basically if someone says "I have a cabriolet, no rust, has a clipper kit, new top" you should already be throwing your money at them!

Only other thing I would look for is to try to get one without a cracked dashboard.

I call BS, it is a year round car. I drove mine all last winter. It was awesome in the snow. It was also very warm until the thermostat died lol.

That's good to know as it would be daily driven year round and I'd need it to be decently reliable for her.
