  • P0411 deleting

Ok so my car keeps giving me the code, "p0411" (secondary air exchange)
Ive hears some talk of people just deleting this all together.
Any info on how to do this?
    Thanks!
    I'm bay curious.

Look up savvy's thread on vortex. Or just google "delete sai, evap mk4" and it should come up. On a 1.8t engine btw. Not sure what you have

I don't think theres any way of removing the code after you remove the SAI system unless you get it coded out of the ECU by someone who know what theyre doing

Mines removed and the code pops up every week or so

If your chipped by uni or similar they can write out the code and you just need to resistor the harness to keep your fuel trims in check

ok but did anyone have that jerking at high RPMs? is that why it gets "deleted"?

            Re: P0411 deleting

I deleted mine becasue I put in an AEB head which doesnt have provisions for SAI. I don't run a resistor on mine and don't get a CEL for it, I just get an "insufficient flow" code once in a while. REVO Stage 3 BTW

ive had this code come up the last two times ive scanned for misfires, if you just delete the code, dont you worry about the secondary air pump motor and valves that run the system?

                      Re: P0411 deleting

It adds more air and fueling for cold mornings to help the car warm up faster is my understanding.

                      In other words, completely useless.

If you want to replace parts my system was working before I pulled it out and would let basically all the parts for it I can still find for cheapcheap.

                          Re: P0411 deleting

It adds air into your EXHAUST valves. This helps to warm up the cat during cold starts because the cat has to be a certain temperature to effectively burn the unburnt hydrocarbons that make it down your tailpipe. Without this your car will not "pass emissions" on cold starts. This is why your car doesn't kick on the system if it is really warm outside or on a second start (if engine is still warm)

You'll need an SAI blockoff plate as well.
