  • Sun encouraged cleanup. [Pics are fairly large]

So with the nice weather, and having some time to spare, I took the time to clean up my engine bay a bit and spray the outside down with some QD. Definately in need of some time with the polisher, but no garage puts the kaibosh on that. Anyway here are a few pics I snapped today.

and a bw one for fun.

what is your ride height at? I just installed PSS and once they settle I am going to be dialing it in and I really like your stance.

I'd have to double check, initially I set the coils to 24.5 all around, but now they have settled more they need a slight adjustment again.

A quick spray and wipe with degreaser, than some motor coat to make it shine. I used trim restorer on the cowl and front plastic area, but I could have done a better job. I'll probably do a proper engine detailing job in the next week or two, wrap the electrical stuff in foil, soak with degreaser, than hose down. I find that works a million times better, than you can take a brush to the little dirty areas and get things real clean and shiny.

God my engine is as dirty as a Hastings hooker. Your "quick" detail puts mine to shame. I gotta learn how to do it this year.

It's the initial cleaning that is the worst. Castrol superclean can strip a lot of old buildup off pretty quick, once the initial degreasing is done you can switch to a more mild degreaser for future use.

fwiw - I use prestige brand degreaser and poorboys trim restorer, but I've used stuff from CT in the past with good results.
