    soo while removing my struts/spring i see this...




    knew i heard a knock..

        Yeah, I guess it's a fairly common thing, my buddy who works at a shop says they replace broken springs all the time, every couple weeks or so.

            Good thing you were replacing the springs, that would suck if something more was to happen. Out of curiosity was that corner sitting lower than the other corner? And by how much?

              Crappy. Better the spring than the cup holding it. I had the cup let go on an old toyota, and the spring came right down the strut and jammed up against the brake lines and tire. The good part was it happened as I was pulling in to my driveway and not on highway.

                    haha thanks for the offer stonewall, but that reason i noticed was when i was removing them to but my new ones on.
                    and i didnt notice that corner sitting low at all. im sure if i was inspect it a bit more i would have noticed it haha.
                    the only thing that gave it away was the knocking while tuning and what not
                    I'm bay curious.
