    Found vw key

    probably a long shot but... I was walking my dog this morning in Evergreen & Fish creek park. Found a VW flip key with a Esso Speedpass attached. It looks older, the blue vw symbol in the middle of the key is worn. The Fob still works though.

    I'd like to return this to the owner, I know how expensive key's are to replace.
    Is there a way that VW can match the key to a VIN and they contact the owner that way?

    I'm going to try to contact Esso tomorrow as well.

    Its nice having people that go a long way to return something someone lost. Friday I drove across the city to give someone their Iphone that they lost. Esso should be able to contact the person. Goodluck.

      My bet is that it is a dub in the area, hop in your car and go for a drive around the neighbourhood and hit the alarm button and try and trip an alarm.

            Thats what I did when I found a FOB at work...turned out to be Delta staff...he bought me a case of beer...totally surprised me!!!

                    tried driving around evergreen, evercreek, everhollow, everoak, eversyde, everglade.... no luck. I imagine immobilizer codes have changed. Contacted esso and they've emailed the owners with my contact info but nothing yet.
