For me when I went coils I never planed to adjust them, I never got to drive the car in the winter as it was written off though but I think it would have been too low. Has anyone even brought up the fact that even with a skid plate you can still take out an oil pan? Stephan managed to crack his even with a skid plate (without one I bet his engine would have been toast).
Yes i concur. I had a skidplate and i cracked my oilpan. WITH a motor mount spacer....But still the ice chunk would have taken out my whole engine if i did not have the skidplate. The skidplate saved me so much money and grief and i was even able to drive my car home to my garage, it just caused a hairline fracture in the pan.

    I fully support skid plates

judging from reading this thread over and over and over, i think that the H&R cup kit is going to be the way to go (whether its the touring or the sport). you and i are basically in the same boat on deciding how to lower our mk4's (no hijack intended). for me and maybe even u, its just a matter of deciding whether the extra 1/2 inch with the sport is going to be worth sacrificing plowing (if any) in winter. I'm new to all this like you, and have many of the same questions. like if there will be any problems if u were to go with the sport. good luck with whatever you decide on going with. personally i think i want to go with the sport haha, seems to me like a fun challenge in the winter.

Small update. Got my stubby antenna yesterday! Big difference visually and better reception then my crusty long antenna.
