I'm in to hold some tools and beers lol. But yes, pay someone some beers and save yourself a couple hundred bucks. MK4 Coilovers are pretty straight forward once you do them one time.

Wow thanks for the responses guys. I appreciate the help. I will probably going to do coils in a couple of weeks. Im itching to get a catback before coils... The only hesitation I have is the CEL. I heard that the clamps that the exhaust come with are crap.
I would go with just a downpipe to be honest. That is where you will make the power gains, you will hardly see any from just a catback. With a $120 3" ebay downpipe you spool way quicker and it is louder when you pin the throttle, but cruising it is still stock quiet. Catback = better/louder sound, not much performance
I needed a spring compressor to get my passenger side cup kit out. D/s was stubborn as well and that was a cup kit...
More for taking out than going in.
The other weekend with Martin we didn't need a spring compressor to get the front strut out All you have to do is take out the front LCA bolt and push the control arm inwards. This separates the ball joint from the control arm. Then with the upper strut cap still in there tight you can rotate the steering knuckle forward and the strut slips out (barely). But it still works without needing a spring compressor. On the other hand i believe i actually have a spring compressor at home.....
I think they have said on the Magnaflow website that its about 14Hp gain. I am more after the purr sound then performance. My car isn't chiped yet either. Unfortunately due to my budget, I think catback, coils and wheels will be my primary focus. Then I will chip and possibly make other performance upgrades.
