It's a US car if you want to go through the import hassle.
It's actually very little hassle at all, especially for a used car. It's new that will bite you in the ass if the dealer decides to be an *******, like D*** H***** Volkswagen of Vancouver WA.. Not to name names or anything.
The post-2008 TOTAL LACK OF WARRANTY is however, a big issue.. and I still can't believe that's actually LEGAL. SRSLY, this is the perfect example of how laws are written for the benefit of corporations. Consumer tries to exploit market price differential? **** him. Corporation tries to exploit market labour differential? Yes sir, how high sir.
VW does not warranty any car imported into Canada from the US. Engine blows up? Your dime.
well if it blew up i would imagine it's not too much work to tow it to montana... much cheaper than paying thousands, just rent a u-haul with trailer cheap cheap!
