driving home from work only a few bays above mine i slid out and threw my back wheel into the curb dividing the road and then the car went up on the curb. luckily my car is stock height . car seemed straight the rest of the drive home but i took a good chunk out of the rim. i will see in the morn if any air is leaking and i hope thats the extent of the damage but i will see. the wheel looked straight and all the body panels on the car looked straight as well. im hoping nothing is broken under the car but i will get an alignment soon to see how straight the car is. luckily i was going quite slow so that minimized any damage. stupid icy road, there was no traction in the one spot the car slid out, i guess winter tires can only do so much

    Shitty news,

I hope you didn't bend your rear beam at all, measure both sides and make sure that the camber and spacing is the same on both sides. If you need new bushings i have a set kicking around, hopefully it doesn't come down to that

Do R32's have a rear beam? I thought they were independent suspension? Sorry to hear about the mishap, saw your car parked outside of Alberta Boot couple days ago.

I completely forgot that he has an R32. Crappy I would definitely jack it up and make sure that the control arms aren't bent and the subframe is in the same spot and all the bushings are okay.

bushings are rubber so they dont get affected but impact . and the rear suspension system in a r32 is verry rugged . i would be surprised if it bent anything

When you lower an R you should replace the lower control arms with an adjustable one right? The ones that we installed on Pat's R had either hiem joints or teflon coated joints if i am not mistaken, and the lower control arms will take almost all of the impact from a sideways hit. Or am i missing something? Just trying to help throw out ideas of things to check.

thanks for the info guys, im getting george to look at the car this afternoon. on the drive in to work the steering felt a little off and there was the odd vibration here and there but im thinking that might have been more from snow in the wheels. i will see when george says and go from there.

esp is scary when the car starts sliding, at least in mine it makes it quite unpredictable.
