  • HELP...Windshield Wipers+Electrical Gremlins=Crappy Sunday

Something weird seems to be going on with the 2.0. The back wiper turns on and we are not able to turn it off, and we have no front wipers. I dont believe that the wipers are seized, but has anyone ran into this issue before? Anybody know what the problem could be? Any help or input is appreciated. Thanks guys and gals!

Just because a car is REGISTERED in one persons name, does not mean that person OWNS it. We both own the car. Your STATEMENT is still FALSE

Back on track, anyone have any ideas?

What does it matter who owns the car or not?
This is an issue that needs to be fixed ASAP. If you don’t have any ideas or recommendations on how to fix the issue, then there is no need for your useless comments.

                  Back on topic please.

Also, I had replaced the wiper motor about a year ago so I don’t think it would be that seizing again. Did some research and it could possibly be the switch itself within the steering column. Has anyone had any similar issues? Any help would be appreciated.

Apparently the wiring where it goes to the hatch can crack and short, but that usually blows fuses.
My money is on the switch in the stalk, you know what happens tot the turn signal one and it starts clicking randomly.

When my signal one starts clicking randomly, I spray it with electrical spray in the arm and it stops it for a few months. Would this method work for the wiper arm as well?

Worth a shot? I'm thinking more one of the contacts has actually come loose though and is jammed as a continuous circuit.

                            Ohh the drama.
I don't remember if a relay controls both the front and rear but if one stays on all the time that is where I am placing my money.
