Man, that's awesome. What turbo did you end up going with and what's the diff between the stock MAF and the S4 MAF?

I bought the GT28RS. It was just a little bigger than what i currently have but I still want a drivable car not a dragstrip racer.
S4 maf is a 3" housing compared to a 2.5" stock housing.
Bigger maf housing means less chance of getting that stupid limp mode. You get a bigger MAF to trick the ECU into thinking there is less air, but then you crank the FPR pressure and that should offset it and you'll have a nice running car (supposedly)

I see. So it probably wouldn't do any good on the stock turbo if and when the stock MAF dies and I need to replace it.
GT28RS - That's the Disco Potato isn't it? I think I remember reading somewhere that it spools up pretty quick even on our small engines.

yup, its the disco potato. Its an amazing turbo for the size. people can achieve 350whp with it. fueling is the biggest issue i'm starting to realize with high hp. I'm going to have 8 injectors on my car with a setup where the 4 will remain off until a defined pressure and then start working as needed. SDS makes EIC (extra injector controllers) that are real simple and work great.
S4 maf housing won't work at all unless you have an adjustable fpr and proper size injectors... i'm not entirely sure it will work as it may be TOO big.
Thats going to be sweet Sean, 8 injectors I can't wait to see it this summer!!!
As for my car mostly saving up and working on the looks package, like wheels, coliovers, grill, lighting and stuff. Not too mcuh perfomrance in a VR6 until we get talking superchargers!!!!

For me the biggest deal is going to be the perfectly equal length exhaust header. I lot of folks for some reason do not see the benefit of this concept. Equal length exhaust manifold runners on a 200hp+ car can provide 20-40hp gain alone without changing any other part. I'm the first guy I know of to have one anywhere on a 1.8T. Once I get the final manifold ceramic coated I'll take some photos and show what it looks like. I tell ya, its trippy. Anyways, I'm in Chicago for a few more weeks and once I get back I'll be able to play. All my toys should be waiting for me by the time I get back.
Is this something that might help you out with your setup? The Pro-Tuner looks to be pretty versatile.
yeah man, that looks real promising. I've in the meantime continued to develop my own piggyback system. You may remember some time ago I made a post about an endevour to create a modifiable car without use of major alterations to compnents. I've finished the injection module already. Due to my being in Chicago for much longer than inticipated things have been delayed. I'll keep posted you all.
Anyways, I bought another goodie. Peloquin ATB (auto torque biasing)
