  • Funny how things work

So Colin and I got my FMIC installed and no more then 20 km after that my turbo fails. We seemed to be pretty careful making sure something didn't get into it so I think it's time was up anyway. I figure 160,000K on any moving part is pretty damn good.

Soooo this has made my plans for a BT take precedence over the body work I had lined up. So I think I will be going with a 3071R and getting the rods and pistons done at the same time so I have less chance of grenading the biotch. Injectors, header, intake manifold, oh man I guess lot's of stuff.

I'm still on the stock clutch and it's been feeling a little weak as of late anyway so new clutch is order. Probably a stage 3 spec, something that is not an on/off switch but can still hold the power. My Quaife LSD will finally find a home as well, it's been sitting in my garage for a year, seeing a got a smoking deal on it, and it is brand spanking new with ARP hardware.

So long story short, I hope to be making 400WHP in the next couple months, just in time for what I am hoping is a hot dry summer.

Any ideas or input would be welcome.

    Thanks

Yeah sounds pretty similar to what I'm doin now, that turbo should be great, what intake ? You should check out those new pag parts stainless v band manifolds. Are you tackling the internals ?

Ya I personally will not be doing the internals that's above my paygrade LOL. But I do intend to have them done, rods, pistons I want this thing to be bullet proof.

It's a pretty easy job actually , I'm sure a couple fourm members could lend a hand, if you wanted to do it for cheap.

Im sure there are lots of guys here more then capable, part of my problem is space. Also my current garage is not heated, and I'm hoping to have this done by the end of spring.
