Re: Help? Simple Single DIN Deck swap?

I just would like to know if the adapter Is different with different pins. For the reason that I already have a harness that works for non-monsoon systems

Why do you need new adapters? He already had an aftermarket deck installed. Cut the clarion harness off the old vw interface harness and use it. Just look at which wires are marked as which on the clarion end and they should be about the same for the pioneer. Easy smeesy.

              helluva hi-jack fellas.

so colin and i got the old deck out, had to pull the climatronic & as suspected its a mess. There was a crossover, splitter.. and 6 RCA ends, with my new deck only having 4. The amp is a 500 watt 6 channel, so instead of spending a full day on it, I'm taking it in. (unless one of you wanna do it for $$)

So the old deck has a sub out. If the new deck doesn't it is no big deal. The amp should have an output channel. Just feed that into the sub rca input and use the internal crossover. As to what the crossover and splitter where behind the deck? no idea.
