    Car price - is this reasonable?

    I am looking to upgrade my daily driver. Going though Kijiji this morning, I found this:

    I understand the rarity of this car, but is his asking price in the ball park? Especially considering the amount of KM's?
    I'm pretty sure of what I'm thinking but I would like some other educated opinions please.

    A car is worth whatever some knob is willing to pay for it. But just to put into perspective, I bought my R32 with 43000 miles (70000 kms roughly) for $16K. After a fun drive across the continent (hotels, gas, food) and border crossing, I was in for $18.5K.

    For this car, I would offer a penny above 13K (and thats stretching the bank)

        Yeah that's way too much. 13000 would be absolutely tops but I wouldn't even pay that much for a car with that many km's.

            The highest I'd go would be $14K... assuming the car is absolutely "FLAWLESS" and "MINTIER than mint."
            On the flipside, I would consider $10K to be a low-ball offer on this one.

            All things considered... the car is worth more like $12K or in this case... 60% of Kijiji Retail!

            PS. FWIW... I sold my baby for $20,000 with 59K... 3 years ago!

                  you cant compare USA cars, i assume this GTI is canadian
