Re: Future GOLF R diesel
I would be torn, I love the ALH engine with its potential and simplicity, and considering I have many spare parts and performance parts it would be ideal. Although I do love the idea of new.
My hope is a mk4 4 door golf, leather, sunroof, 4motion diesel to be under $10k in a few years. I don't see this golf R to be anything under $40k at launch and probably won't depreciate too fast either.
My Jetta still has lots of life in it, just hoping the body holds on as the rust holes are starting to become its demise. I figure the more rust it has the less weight, equals better performance and more fuel economy.
