    License Demerits and the Strathmore Police

    Okay, for anyone that plans on speeding anywhere within 25km's of Strathmore... BEWARE... these Piggie's are absolute noobs! I mean... listen to this. Whilst travelling East through Strathmore, I had slowed down the entire way through the city. Going Eastbound, I had stopped at the last set of lights in Strathmore and was awaiting the green light. Looking ahead, one notices that there is absolutely no more town and nothing but divided highway and farmer's fields. Well, the light goes green... and I proceed to accelerate towards Saskatchewan out of Strathmore. Anyhow, about 800 metres later... I see one of Strathmore's finest waving me over as he is parked on the grid road. I'm thinking... what the f*ck?... i'm only going 95 km/hr. Then i look in front of me and see an 80 km/hr sign in front of me. Oooops. Anyhow, the cop goes on to tell me that I am actually in a 60 km/hr zone and have been going 35 km/hr over the speed limit!! What!! A 60 km/hr limit at nearly an entire kilometer out of Strathmore?! Absolute Bullsh*t! Anyhow, the cop took pity on me and wrote my ticket down to $150 from $250 and 3 demerits instead of 4 (bless his soul...... noob!).

    Anyhow, just wanted to rage to some of you guys. By the way, since the court appearance is in Drumheller... Is there any way I can get my demerits waived somehow without going to the courthouse in Drumheller?! Just thought I'd ask.

    yikes.. there a actually a bunch of towns in rural AB like that dude so yea you gotta watch out.. you might be able to get it down to a photo rader ticket but yea looks like you'll be visiting drum if thats the case

      Yeah tickets in those sorts of places are their main source of revenue

        I got a ticket in Red Deer over Christmas, they were really cashing in on the people driving through over the holiday. Normally I would try to get our of the license demerits but I would need to appear in Red Deer court and frankly that is too far, I think I will just have to eat them. :( What a bummer.

          kris what road in red deer because yea cops give tons of tickets there.. i got pulled over with my buddy well he got pulled over but i stopped cuz we were together a block ahead.. cop made him take out his washer leds .. oh well
