Remote starter install

Just curious if anyone has had a remote starter installed in their car , Audio Concept tells me that the install in a a MK4 is very tricky and quoted me 8-10 hours to install one in my 02 GTI which makes the labor cost ridiculous. Anyone know if this is accurate?

yep that's accurate.

Installing a remote start into a mk4 requires a bypass of the immobilizer circuit, which (aside from adding numerous steps to the install procedure) would void any kind of electrical warrantee you would ever have

Yep, not really the most compatible option for VWs.
