With APR and Revo allowing port programming is Upsolute going towards the same direction?

Why does it take any time at all? If its available in europe can't they just ship it over?

This is great news. Upsolute may be still an option for me.

Serial port programming still has its downfall. If an interuption half way occured during the update can cause some major problems and result in soldering anyways. People sharing files and causing problems. Also I heard upsolute is having problems opening certain ECU's? Any truth to these claims?

Im gonna stick on board with upsolute then =) I just hope the cost of an upgrade from my existing upsolute software wont cost a fortune =)

thats pretty cool simon.. heck if its hear before APR or REVO i might just do that instead.. i just loved revo for thier technology.. i don't think i'll do APR DPP since it has cold start issues that they can't seem to fix

Simon is so good with a soldering iron, it looks even easier than Direct Port

A friend of mine did the original playstation modchips (his website was modchips.ca) and he made a good amount of money for a couple of years.

I have done alot of surface mount soldering at work for many years when troubleshooting electronics. I can solder as fine pitch as components get. It sounds like a good idea although I am not sure what is invloved in installing the mod chip on a PS2..the PS1 was extremely easy but I have heard otherwise about the PS2.

If you need help with yours I am more than happy to help out.

I was thinking of getting an xbox chip from Modchip.ca, they have a bunch of them. I want the Chamelion, PS1 emulator, oh yea!

Yeah my pal no longer runs it though, I am not sure if it was modchips.ca or modchip.ca but I know that he let the domain expire back when the Ps2 came out.
