Since they are my winter wheels, i think i have to agree...
Back home in Ontario, I used to leave the wheel covers off because snow would get caught in them and set off the wheel balance. Here, we don't get so much deep snow, so it's probably not much of a concern. I've got no wheel covers on my car because I'm too cheap to but VW OEM wheel covers!
