Hi I'm Chase
I've been around Dasdubbers for a while and cvd before that
I've got a 89 1.8t gli

started as that then became this

then yarded the 16v for something with 4 more valves and a turbo




Since the pictures I've fitted the rest of the big bumper kit and 16v flares. polished and waxed it and cranked the boost.
only picture I have since the flares went on.

The 5th shot was done be a local photographer. there were 4 cars out that night and it was before i got my flares on and changed my fenders.

it keeps up with a chipped R32 pulled on him first pull, second pull he got me and from a standing start he took me, but if someone who could actually drive was in it I think it would take him.

Definitely keeps up with the R32, but the pulls were very short. One day when we find some open space, we'll do a real pull and let them both rip. Very tough to say which one is faster. That little frame with that motor really does haul ass. Just fix the few little issues you have with it, get her running right, and that car will get alot of attention!

I've upped the boost since then dan. its holding 18psi not 9

Hahaha, no need to get defensive chase. I was surprised that I even kept up with the boost leak. We will see tonight, but if all goes well i'm buying a jetta coupe.. taking the gti off the road and hopefully making it a project car. Might take a long time to do what I want.. but it will be a monster.
