      did you read my post???????? 18x7 and 18.7.5 is not going to make a difference with 20mm. You need 25mm +

        Yessiree Popp...and I posted shortly after that I'm thinking 25mm front, 30-35mm rear.
        What do you think. Or...would the easiest thing to do be...just measure from the bottom of the hub front and back...I have my truck at work today or I wouldn't have started this thread

          Re: Wheel adapter question.

          you don't need to measure.

          51-20 = 31 == not flush (with a 7.5" wheel)

          51-25 = 26 == flush (with a 7.5" wheel)

          flush for a front 7.5" wheel is 25-28
          flush for a rear 7.5" wheel is 18-23

          8.5"-10" wheel will be different

            Popp...thanks sooo much, I guess I shoulda had the et51 with the wheel width to begin with. BTW I have just learned a ton from all of you! Now I can place my order...Thanks!!!

              Opinions?
              I am thinking that those sizes are a bit too much. You will need stretched tires to go low and stretching a tire on a 7.5" rim isn't really a smart idea, won't work that well. Plus with stretched tires you need to be low to look good. If you are stock height these will stick out too much and just look funny. my bet is doing 20/25 combo would look good both at stock height and when you lower it up to about 3"

                Re: Wheel adapter question.

                Ok...the company I'm playing e-mail tag with is out of 30's, so I'm thinking 20mm up front, and 25mm rear.

                  Re: Wheel adapter question.

                  don't put the spacers on until after you lower the car. I would wait for 30mm for the rear if your planning on spending the money

                    Re: Wheel adapter question.

                    They are adapters...not spacers...thats why all the thickness Q's. I'm ordering them, so I need the advice of some MK4 owners to get the proper thickness.

                      Re: Wheel adapter question.

                      i'm just saying dude...

                      17x7.5 +33 and 17x8.5 +23 - this is a really basic fitment and looks awesome. this would be 20mm in the front and the back you would need 40mm but personally I wouldn't do that. 30mm in the back will be perfect
