On an odd twist of events, the seller in question (not sure who he is, I have two different names now) has agreed to refund my sister the money... I believe he saw this thread and decided to come through. (My Sister texted thinking it was Topless when he said he agreed to a refund)

I still believe he is on this site (Drove a Passat and talked about his A4 and RevWerks track days) and his name is Kris. (But also the name Tyson was used on an email)

Anyways.... whoever Kris is... Thanks for stepping up.

I am Kris and sold them to a guy with a passat so it is making sense now. I do not think anyone was trying to rip anyone else off in this situation. I think it is just a case of miscommunication of the actual bolt pattern of these wheels, because in fact they do say 5x100 on the back of the wheels. I know for a fact they are 5x114.3 as that is what the adapters I bought the wheels for are.

I guess its easy to see where the confusion happened.. the person that sold the wheels the third time was also named Kris, who drove a Passat. (At least he used the name 'Kris' at the bottom of all texts.)

Whatever his name is, Im glad he stepped up and agreed to return the wheels.

I am thinking he was trying to sell the wheels using my name. I do not recall the guys name but if it was the same as mine that is not something I would forget since spelling it my way is not found that often, and who signs there name to text messages anyways. I guess this a lesson to me and any others who are selling wheels, be 100% possitive of what is being sold when you place the add and when you are buying and you are not sure about the wheel to your car before money changes hands.

Yeah, His texts were definitely signed 'Kris' (They were forwarded to me) which was odd because via his email and another source we believe his name to be Tyson and the start of his email was tmerrill. So Tyson Merrill?

I guess thats how all of the confusion was started.. the seller used your name on the texts.


Anyways.. sounds like Tyson has agreed to take the wheels back.

So the return went well.. except my sister managed to drop one of the wheels scuffing up the face... and paid Tyson $20 back. So... if you see a set of Sparco wheels with damage on one face.. they are not 5x100!
