    question about w8 ...

    How long or when did VW start with the w8 motor, when or have they stopped production?
    Is it possible to find a used w8 to put into a caar with a blown motor? cost?
    what are your thoughts about this motor...

    Anything is possible with enough money. Im sure it would cost a lot.

    It was discontinued because reliability was pathetic, and the motor is nearly impossible to do work on.

        W8 crate engines were on sale from vw's surplus website for huge discount a month or so ago, but it looks like they are all gone...
