  • Vag-com in Edmonton?

Anybody in Edmonton with Vag- com? Can you help me?

    Here's the story -
So I switched my steering wheel today, from the GTI one to the R32, I know its pretty much the same, but the MF buttons are nicer looking and the steering wheel was new, looks new. I bought my GTI used and the previous owner must have used Armor All or something. Anyways, I unplugged the battery and did the swap. It was a little harder than I anticipated... But it got done. The airbag light and ESP light come on, but after driving for 20 seconds they are gone. But now:
    - My steering wheel is way off, like a need a serious alignment...
    - Everything feels fine when I'm driving until I push on the gas hard. The ESP light come on and I feel the wheels spin, which is normal, but then there is a funny sound, almost like the ABS brake sound, I feel it in the brake petal too, like a clicking. The sound is really weird like something is trying to engage and it feels a little rough to drive. Felt like something was rubbing in the wheel well too.
Anybody heard of this happening after unplugging the battery? or swapping steering wheels? I think when you unplug the battery, the lights part is normal but not the rest...

    PLEASE HELP!

So I think I need to do this - http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/car...ringangle.html

    Re: Vag-com in Edmonton?

To me that almost sounds like ABLS. Basically what it does is use your ABS to stimulate a LSD. But im assuming this isn't your first time driving the car and you would have noticed the car doing this before.

I can help you out though. I have vag com and I can also do wheel alignments for you.
