  • Air Ride Install "Party"

    Hey guys!

Just wanted to invite you all to help install my airride this wednesday night, thursday all day and all day friday. Stop by anytime, there should be beer and maybe some munchies and all in all some good old car fun.

    Facebook details: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=213677855328392

    What we need to do:
    - take off glove box and kick panels on dash
    - run 0 gauge wiring through fuse, through firewall to trunk where monsoon amp would be located for distribution and further fusing
    - take out deck, run other speaker wires on PS and through beam along back seats and bring to same location as 0 gauge wire
    - find suitable position and mounting for fuses with easy access.
    - run two wires from trunk light up top for future wiring of CCT's for trunk lighting
    - get side carpet back in trunk and cut hole for wires to come out in the back DS corner.
    - frame the trunk with special care being given to 5 gallon tank location, room for amp/manifold/ecu
    - drill holes in frame where wires/lines will run
    - get 3 gallon tank positioned on support and mounted in spare wheel well
    - install vibration isolators/compressor cradles to fit and as per design in Sean's head
    - install 5 gallon tank in proper location.
    - build flooring and make custom pull handles and install quick connect fitting for utility air out/in
    - build mounting platforms/straps for water trap and air manifold
    - run air lines to the front
    - run sensor lines to the front
    - run air lines to the back
    - run sensor lines to the back
    - install all sensors
    - install front leader lines and tie down
    - install compressors and wire them/plumb them in
    - wire ecu to manifold
    - plumb air lines to manifold and label each
    - run wires to front for pressure gauge
    - install boost gauge in a-column pod
    - install gauges in double dash pod
    - plumb water trap in between tanks
    - add accessories/plugs to tanks
    - turn on compressors for tank leak test
    - wire in controller into trunk for now for test of solenoid valves opening/closing
    - test dump of manifold (should do nothing)
    - install struts
    - install rear shocks and bags (will have to drill and rivet back top plates)
    - plumb from leader lines to bags
    - remove fender liners (will not spray yet with rubberizing)
    - test each bag for inflation and leaks
    - plumb drains outside of car
    - fully test controller
    - install stereo amplifier
    - wire loom all wires so that it is nice and tidy, zip tie all wires together and along edges
    - silicone edges of frame to the car in tidy fashion
    - test fir trunk floors
    - install false wall
    - carpet floor pieces
    - re-install trim pieces, back seats, carpet, etc
