  • Need quick advice on replacing Rad in golf 1.8T

2000 1.8T golf. Have the bumper off already, just wondering if there is an easy way to get access to the Rad? Also, do I need to be concerned with the Airbag sensor? Tips on how to disable it? Or is disconnecting the battery good enough?

I don't have access to a mk4 bentley or anything right now. Any input would be appreciated. Sooner the better.

Pull the rad support, airbag sensor shouldnt be involved.

Disconnect battery and you should be good.

found some info on Vortex finally, wondering if you can just pull the whole thing out of the way. Not sure if my Air conditioning lines will get in the way.

Well, managed to do it in a few hours. Thanks to Sam at Calgary Autoworks for getting me a good replacement Rad so quick. An extra set of hands once it is all apart would help, unless you are without AC, that would make it so much easier.
