These are the guys i used to do my BBS RXii's
All i can say is great work, they weren't happy with the first time they did it on some wheels so they stripped everything down and finished the metal a bit nicer and powdercoated them again free of charge. They turned out great!

Price was under $300. And in that it included final finishing and prepping of the wheels and the fact that they are two piece wheels. So pretty low pricing.

              In Calgary I suppose?

              How long did it take?

Yup in calgary, in the northish end really close to deerfoot. How long it takes depends on the season and what other items they are working on. Give em a call and they should be able to let you know.

                  Re: Powdercoating Hook Up?

the powdercoating process itself does not take long at all. Clean the metal using phosphorous, then rinse with water, dry off metal, hang on rack, coat, then stick in the oven for 15min at 430F. Entire process take about half hour.

i used to powdercoat here in airdrie at silverline powdercoating, highly recommend paying a visit to them. Damian or Barry is who you want to talk to. they can blast the wheels in the back if need be. exceptional work these 2 do.

ORR...for a case of beer (24) you can drop the wheels off to me and i can do them for you. i still have free rain of the booth and oven aswell as the blasting machine out back. kicker is, i cant guarantee you when they will get done.

Hope this helps with all your questions.

Price wise, I cant see it being anymore than $250 for blasting and painting. I didnt get to see much of the bills that went out, as i was in the paint booth all day, but thats what i would ballpark your price at

                      Re: Powdercoating Hook Up?

A few years ago I got a guy I used to work with to do some powder coating for me in his garage.

He had this gizmo that sprayed the powder, and then baked it in a standard electric stove oven. We did some brackets, racks, footpegs, suspension arms, and stuff for my quad. It worked really well, and my nephew now has the quad and the powder coating is holding up well.

This guy is no longer with us, cancer has summoned him to a better place. I'm not sure what happened to his powder coating gizmo.

I googled "home powder coating" and came up with this:
                      http://www.fourwheeler.com/howto/129...ing/index.html

For a set of wheels on a nice car you don't want messed up, the few hundred bucks to have it professionally done is a good deal.

For some non-critical parts on my quad, the home powder coating worked well, and used about $5 worth of industrial-grey powder. I had to do all the sanding and prep work.

Depending on what one wants to powder-coat, it might do the trick.

                      Jiggs.
