    Re: MK6 Jetta GLI

For all not seeing a huge difference between this and the Jetta, the motor....... the 2.5 is the main reason i wouldn't buy the Jetta. But the 2.0TSI is a huge upgrade.

Just so you know these are US spec cars. Ours will actually have real leather not pleather. You will also be able to order ours with the cloth and upgrades like sunroof and 18's vs. the states that will only get base cars with cloth. I think the car looks good! Lower with a nice set of wheels and its golden IMO!!

Current GTI also has a 6K redline! And I'm sure the aftermarket will provide many options for lighting upgrades!

i think cause of the dollar situation VAG is spec'ing the cars better for canada, for instance i think b&o is standard on the s4 in canada, the usa is extra

              Re: MK6 Jetta GLI

Looks like it actually has a (coolant) temperature gauge. Does it have enough digits on the (outside air) temperature readout that it can show minus temperatures below -9.5? Does it have a pneumatic strut on the hood, or a prop rod? All these little cheapening things really depress me.

I agree the Mk4 was the best looking Jetta. (Said by an owner of a Mk2, Mk4 and Mk5). But I love the performance increase of my stock Mk5.

I'm waiting for the Mk7 Golf, but I'm afraid I will be disappointed by VW's desire to compete with Toyota for world dominance and the resulting dumbing down.

Looks pretty dang hot in my opinion. I love the versatility of a hatch, but still think that GLI looks mighty nice.

Get a $50 aftermarket kit and you are good to go! Cheaper than what they would tack onto the car......

At first I hated it... was disappointed.

Now though I'm thinking that if you got one in black, dumped right to the ground on coils, maybe some wheels, it's a lot like getting an A4 but way cheaper?

I do greatly enjoy the fact that they are returning to the soft touch dash.....

And everyone will freak out now, same with the mk5's everyone hated them to begin with, then they grew on them. I have a good feeling this will do the same.
