  • Brake Hose Woes

I was doing the brakes on my 2003 Jetta & before I would wire up the caliper so it did not fall I dropped it and broke the fitting where the rubber brake hose connects to the caliper.

Does anyone know of it is possible to change just the rubber hose or do I need to replace the whole line back to the master? Part # IJ0611 764AD.

    TIA,

    Andrew

Should only have to replace the rubber line that goes from the caliper to the hardline in the wheel well.

It isn't one line from the master to the caliper.

It was the rear line and that is what I was thinking, but the dealershipp is telling me that it is one part.

Still doesn't go right to the master.

I've replaced the same line before.

That the one. I was wondering if I could just replace the rubber part to where it meets the hard line, but it is looking like that is not the case.

How much of a PITA was it to run that line back tot he master?

It doesn't go right to the master. It's not hard to replace at all.

Thanks, I saw the picture and it looked more involved that is.
