sooo i finally found some corvette C5 wheels that im going to go pick up next week now i just need to source some adaptors and tires obviously, from what i can see 33mm at the front and 38 at the back make them sit with just the right ammount of poke i know adapt-it-usa carries what i need but im just wondering if there is anywhere local i can pick them up from or if there were any other places you guys had experience with and recommend.

also need some advice on tires the wheels are 17 by 8.5 in the front 18 by 9.5 in the back sooooo i need to strech some tires!!! and this is a subject i know nothing about so educate me plz what tire strech the best what size should i look at getting etc etc

Nice!!! Those will look great. Are they really 17's for the front and 18's for the rear or is that a misprint? Anyways, kind of difficult to say what size tires you need because I have no idea how much stretch you will need to pull of the stance your looking for. For a nice stretch I would probably suggest 205/40's (agressive) or 215/40's (moderate) for the front and 215/40 (agressive) or 225/40's (moderate) for the rear! Again, difficult to nail down 100%. Maybe look at what the boys on Vortex are running in terms of tire size! Good luck!

def not a misprint, this is what turned me off them (they are great looking wheels though!!). Unfortunately you also can't just order another two 18s as with the width/offset they won't fit in the front without poking horribly.

I bought some from adapt-it, they are great and the right price, but are not hub-centric, you might get a bit of wheel wobble.

buy centering rings if you get non-hubcentric adapters, they are like $25. If you get any sort of wheel wobble don't run them.

The adapter is hub centric to the wheel hub, but there is no pilot to center the wheel on the adapter, I don't see how centering rings will work.

ah I C what you were saying. either way if you get wheel wobble do NOT run them like that, you could end up with a big mess on your hands. Just ask morespeed (i think)

If you can't find ones that are wheel and hub centric then go custom, might as well if you are already spending the money for the vette set up.

If you decide to risk it with a non-wheel centric adapter then the best you can do is to have the wheels off the ground and torque the wheels down while the wheels are in the air (would probably need air tools or someone to stand on the brake to do this). If you try to center it, torque it down some and then drop the car and torque it the rest of the way your setting yourself up for disaster as the weight of the car will undoubtedly off center the wheel on the adapter.

thanks for the help there is no way i would get none hubcentric wheels adaptors i would rather spend the money and not have the headache i got till summer to get the adaptors as well as tires so im in no rush
