Re: TDI Manifold om nom nom
hmmm, when I swapped my turbo out my intake manifold had no build up. None, like i wiped it with my finger and had a nice black fingerprint but no sludge, and that was at 140,000. Kinda odd that cars get that bad, dirty diesel fillers.

Re: TDI Manifold om nom nom
I expect to clean my intake, but how does an intake get that plugged, is it crap fuel, weak /dirty filters? I guess I want to know of any preventative maintenance that I can do to lessen the build up.Hers 2009 Audi A4 6sp manual

If you wish to keep the emissions system in tact, you pretty much just deal with it i think.Last edited by Geobmx4life; 12-16-2010, 10:35 PM.Hers 2009 Audi A4 6sp manual

Re: TDI Manifold om nom nom
i have only had an issue with the alh .. (and fsi lol) pd only collect a small amount of crap arround the egr valve itself . also as far as some not carboning up . if your turbo has a bit of exxesive oil leaks into the airstream it will actually keep the intake clean . also if you have access to vag com once evry 20000 kms drive arround with the egr vacum hose off to clean it outsigpic

Re: TDI Manifold om nom nom
Got the car back together last night. Clean manifold and racepipe.
Went for a drive, drives a lot better at low speeds but once I hit 110km/h in 4th or 5th gear it will go into limp mode. Still the same code: 17958 - Charge Pressure : Control Deviation.
