Just heard that my car is officially in Halifax and the will be at the dealers March 8th. Does not mean I can take it yet, but I can go down and sit in it and make vrooom noises.

Just out of curiosity why does it take a month to get to Calgary? and why couldn't you pick it up right away?

Vw is not releasing any golf r's until each dealership has at least one. As for the month to put on a truck and drive it out.. Your guess is as good as mine.

Just talked to dealer and they hope all cars on this first ship are the single allotments to each dealer and I will be able to take it. Apparently mine is the first one they will receive.

That's awesome! Wish I could say the same. I'm still waiting on my VIN. Ill be happy whether it's April or even may as long as it comes as ordered in CSG.

That'll be awesome to see. Can you test the horn too while you're there, sound system and all that jazz? Basically can you make a lot of noise while at the dealer haha

Oh snap! I saw this about a half an hour after I ordered it from Redline via their group buy. I'll be sure to ping you for the other stuff once the car arrives as I'll try to support the locals when I can.

Just a warning, if you get that gauge prepare to deal with horrible service and a long wait time. Ordered it and waited a 2 or 3 months to get it. Got it and it broke within a week. Sent it back and waited about 3 months for them to deal with it. They were no help along the way.
My friend also got one for his mk5 and he waited 2 or 3 months also. When he tried calling to get updates there was no response and they did not reply to his messages.

Mine is on the train apparently and will be here within the next couple weeks!!! Now if I could only just hop in it and drive away into the sunset.
