Does that mean the mk4 R is gonna be for sale in the near future?
Yeah right... as if anyone wants a MK4 .:R with only 35,000 miles on it!
Besides, there's still something wrong with my exhaust since it sounds like Chewy and not AT ALL like the new one? Weird?

i was going to say and a sporty golf vs a q5 is a COMPLETELY differnet auto.
40-42 isn't priced that bad but that is still an expensive golf.. you could probably get a used b8 s4 for 42 by next summer/fall
I expect that it is going to be placed right in between the WRX and the STI, so about $42-45k. The price for a GTI with the nav and all that gunk is close to $35k, so a ~$10k uplift for more power and AWD is not unexpected.
Yeah I paid close to $35K for my 20th anniversary GTI in 2003. Realistically $7-10K more for way more power, 4 motion and an overall better car isn't too bad. Especially considering its 9 years later!

While WRX and STI can't really be compared to the GTI/R IMO their prices have steadily come down over the years.
WRX/STI price range is $32.5K base wrx sedan - $42.5K loaded sti hatch.
Hmm seem to remember when i priced it up earlier in the year a loaded STI came in a whisker off $50k maybe thats with the dealer charges etc in I guess.
