The old me would be all over the Golf R or the 1M. However, the new me is leaning more towards the Porsche Cajun (or whatever they decide to call it).

In any event... it's great to have some hot Euro choices for a change!

Loses credibility based upon? You find it unrealistic to only bring in 4 door models?

It's a halo vehicle, sold in a small limited market. 500 units doesn't surprise me, compared to the numbers of 337's, & 20ths that Canada sold (250 & 200). 4 doors somewhat does, but I would hazard that they could only crash test one model due to the volume of units. 4 vs 2.

Easier to pitch as a WRX/STI/Lancer competitor as a 4 door model and that is the market that they want to tap, the VW diehards are in if they can afford it already.

I would jump all over this, however I refuse to pay any 'dealer-added-screwjob' (and you know there will be) fee on the first year of Canadian distribution.

We cannot legally sell over retail here in Alberta! And realistically, if you really want one you will pay what the retail price is as i'm pretty sure with only 500 coming to canada they will sell pretty quick!

Nope! I guess they could add **** on like propacks and etching and that stuff and try to get that back from the buyer however they cannot put a "market adjustment "fee onto the sticker price.
