Hmm seem to remember when i priced it up earlier in the year a loaded STI came in a whisker off $50k maybe thats with the dealer charges etc in I guess.

2011 prices dropped significantly on those cars. (decontenting mostly like no more BBS wheels)

Interesting. When I bought my 09 GTI I test drove a WRX 265 and buddy quoted me $44k all in at the time. I told him where dinner was.

As an aside my biggest complaint with the WRX/STI is that they just felt so cheap... And it was $44k at the time.

So far we have 3 confirmed (with deposit) orders. Not bad considering the car won't be here for anothe year at least!

Guy was trying to rip you off. I got a 2010 265 wrx for $33.5K on the road including gst and all fees. Agree on cheap part and my GTI handled way better as well. WRX had amazing traction though.

Hey Dan,

The deposit is $1000 and is fully refundable. Realistically we might get 5 cars max so the 3 deposits we currently have will get first dibs in that order. So far, we know the car will be 4 dr only, and apparently no options (only come one way). Not sure what way that is yet!

Maybe however it will be interesting to find out how many of the people that are leaving deposits will actually take delivery once the car arrives. Many things can happen in a year waiting for a car!

i don't understand the point of a refundable deposit lol, what is the point of taking one in the first place if it is refundable? to get less, less serious people

it makes sense for this car, if fifth ave can only get 4 cars and they have 6 deposits the last 2 should get there money back. i wish i knew the price of the car, guys on golfmk6.com are thinking it going to be close to 50. my guess is the car will be 38000 plus taxes.
