Dashboard airbag question....

Well I was helping my buddy move and something slid forward and put a fist size mark into the cover covering the airbag. Can you take that part off? It really looks like I could just pop it back into place, but I'm not too sure if that piece comes off. Any help would be great!! TIA

If I'm thinking correctly it should just pop up from the bottom.

Peeked quickly in bentley, didn't see anything.

In the MK4 Jettas they can be removed and replaced but in the MK4 Golfs they cannot. I might have one in my attic, I'll try to have a look later today.
