Looking at purchasing a USRT SmartShift Kit for my 98 Jetta to replace the current system. Looks good, and says that its pretty easy to install, would like to know if anybody has done it and what they think of the new setup.

For many years Volkswagen enthusiasts have complained about the loose and sloppy feeling of their rod shift transmissions. Although the setup has proven reliable, it has a lot of slack, making it not suitable for performance applications.
USRT has taken this setup and totally revamped it. By replacing all the snap connections with spherical rod ends, replacing all bushings with Delron equivalents, the feel of the shifter is greatly improved. Go from having a sloppy 15 year old shifter to the oh-so-nice "click-click" feel that everybody wants.
Installation is easy, and can be done by any novice in their garage
