What is up with that?! Don't get me wrong, I understand that... for the most part, many young "under 25" male drivers are animals on the highway. However, it just doesn't seem fair for those of us who have never been in an accident their entire life. As well, why should I pay insurance which is based on average use of your automobile (20,000km) when I'm lucky if I put 10,000km on my car in 12 months?! What kind of a rip-off is that? Whether you drive 5km a month or 1,600km a month... you pay the same damn insurance! Check it out yourself if you don't believe me (www.melochemonnex.com).

I can agree that the insurance industry is a piece of sh*t but the amount of driving one does should not directly affect their insurance rates. I live just outside of the city. This means every day, I drive twice as much as a normal person would..twice as much rush hour ,twice as much highway. It is more likely for me (who puts 40k + a year on a vechicle) to get hit by someone, than you who puts 10,000 sure, but I drive so much that it becomes like walking, im not going to hit someone unless I have no option, and if thats the case it doesnt matter if I drive 10 or 100,000km, it could happen to anyone.

And I think the insurance industry does take that into consideration. As far as AMA knows I drive 24000 or less a year

oh speaking of stupid insurance.. i saw a thing on the news tonight about a guy in edmonton who has a 100% clean record no nothings at all and is like 20 or 21 and his insurance co dropped him because when he moved he wouldn't give his roomates information to them so they said bye bye.. the news was working on getting him a better deal with another co or somecrap though but even so.. sheesh
Damn, I didn't have to pay my ticket I got in Sask? Anyone know if it shows up on my record and affects my insurance? If not, it looks like I'll be back to a 5 star rating this summer
