    Who hear has done this and what does it take to wire it into your headlight switch? or do u have to at all? thx

    I'm also interested. I would love to do a W8 mod to my car. How much does the part cost?

        I went down the apillar which was a pain, but u can also pull off some door weather stripping and go in that way. You tap the grey wire off the headlight switch.

          I know peter had it. I cant see it being that overly difficult to do.

                    Here is another DIY from hill side imports, based in the kit that they sell. Pretty good one IMHO, and you dont have to remove the Apillar to run the wire.

                      too bad the Golf beige is a different shade than the Passat. Anyone have one of these, is the color noticeable?

                        it's a tad bit different. Yeah you'll notice it (it's a bit more tan) but I didn't think it was that bad (a buddy of mine has it in his tan interior)
