Another oddity to think about...Is it just me or?
Driving down the flat highway set your cruise, reset your trip computer and move to the average speed. What's the difference, should be none, but it's not. Mine was about 120 on the speedo and 115 on the odometer. Fine, while still on cruise, reset both your trip computer and your odometer, drive 10 Km's do they match? Not on my car - 2000 GTI VR6. 10km on the odometer, 9.7 or 9.8 on trip computer.
I know German cars are notorious for having speedo's that are the most aggressive in the business, there was a Car and Driver article that illustrated that the speedos were routinely 5 to 8 percent high at 70 mph.
Anyone else observe this?
