Does your door lock when open?

I noticed this with mine today!!!! Gay. Oh well, warranty. I originally noticed such a thing on another members car earlier this year. Unlock your car, open the door, wait at least 30 seconds, and watch it lock itself, and the light starts blinking, and the alarm is set with the door open. This came about because i left mine open for 30 seconds, went to start the car and the alarm sound and shut off promptly, telling me it was armed when i tried starting the car.

There is a fault somewhere in the door sensor. Time to use my warrranty, lol.

hrmm i have to test this out and see what happens i know mine autolocks after like 30 seconds if i disarm and then not open a door it will arm itself again

ok, so my car is ready. they replaced the door latch. at the same time, my drivers side window regulator. i guess they do it on manual windows too, lol. They ran out of stock to do the other door. So they said next time I'm in they will replace that one too. Sounds good, just in case I guess. They're upgraded to metal, old ones were plastic.

So now I get to walk to Northland from school around 7ish when i'm done my last class since shuttle runs till 6, lol.

I will also check to see how much the latch and labor was. That might encourage some of you to get it done before your warranty expires.

LOl thats funny Dale and I where just talking about that on saturday. He said his doors look when open to yet I have never run across that problem yet. I guess I should look into it more.

its the latch. when the inner door pull starts to become "sticky" and doesnt open smoothly, you have the problem. now mine is like new, about $300 later, lol. and about another $250 for the window regulator and install. warranty well used.

the door thing is $140 for the part, and about 2-3 hours labor.
