if it's the car i'm thinking of, i am pretty sure Lawrence from calgary autowerks did the SDS install. i've worked on it also. this was about 7 or 8 years ago though and before his shop opened. it was a blast with the turbo. cool car.
you probably don't like me because someone else said they didn't lol. <3

Booorring, lets fill the trunks full of amps and subs lol Kidding.
I am to have to take a look at the dash and see if I can fit a double din in there. I am then thinking a fiberglassed 10" in the back with a nice small amp.

Wouldn't surprise me. George remembered it also. Which turbo was it? The previous owner was a german fella; Jergen. Genuine great guy. We made the deposit 2 months.. MONTHS before picking it up. We had trips as did he which made it difficult... he was very accommodating.

Oh totally. Wanna gullwing the doors, and get some neon underglow tubing?
          wait. wut?

I think we'll have to keep it single din, due to budget. were you thinking of a double din by the gauge cluster by the shifter?

Question that still has me guessing; What do I do about the seat rails?
It's a safety hazard. The seats slide around... Apparently the rails need to be welded back in.

The anti-freeze leak, is likely an old cracked hose. The lock cylinders need to be lubed. Brake bleed.. well duh. The girlfriend takes off for a month - in a few days, so I'm hoping to get started on it then.

Holy crap they are that bad? You are welcome to come look at mine to see how they go in. Stefan is getting a motive brake bleeder soon you might have to hit him up for it
As for what I want to do with the deck. i want to move the heater controls to where the ashtray is and likely fit in in the two spots. I hope to find a mk4 parts car soon so I won't have to worry about the whole front face with what I have in mind.

                Bumpin this:

So we're looking for a deck, to use primarily with an iPhone. I believe that limits us to either BlueTooth or a USB connection.

                Anyone have budget-friendly suggestions?

                TIA

if I were you I would select the deck carefully, a lot of A/M decks have this stupid Ipod set up where you can control the Ipod through the CD deck BUT it requires that you set up playlists (or it just plays your whole library as a single playlist) and it locks you out of controlling the Ipod by hand, so make sure you get a deck that isn't like this as it is terribly annoying, my brother's alpine does this and I think my friends sony does this.

JVC allows control from the deck or the Ipod

I too licked up a Cab in the last few weeks, it's a 89 with 260K on it, needs the reg items items, first things were the Height and Trailer hitch.

                                Dope cabby!

Ya I think we're gonna just do a Bluetooth deck, where it recognizes the iPhone, and allows you to play/control via the iPhone. The wiring is messed behind the deck, so no music currently.
