Do you have to drop the front bumper to get access to the lights in a MKIV? I thought I saw this somewhere. I wouldn't mind changing to a whiter bulb. Holkvagon, how do you light your Eurolites? Expensive? How long do they last?

I love my Eurolights I get them up here for 30 a pair and they have lasted me well over 6 months... as for the city lights (little ones under high beams) u can get at them easy even with huge hands lkike mine very easy to change....

U DONT have to drop the bumper, the only time u drop your bumper for your headlights is to remove the WHOLE unit....

              hope this helps ya

                Dale,

Could you tell me where you bought your Eurolights and the city lights from (specific company and address). Also, you said it is fairly easy to change them out. I haven't had a chance to look under the hood but will it be fairly easy to see how to do it?

Anyone else have recommendations for replacement bulbs? What about the ones from C-tire? I think they are called Sylvannia Superlight.

I assume I will need to buy 4 bulbs right? 1 pair for the low-beam and 1 pair for the hi-beam? Is is $50 for just 1 pair?

Golf/Gti are H7 for the low and high beams.... H3 for the fogs if ya got em...

We need 2 pairs if you want the highs to match the lows.... I have the Euro lights now but am switching to the Silverstars.....gonna cost me to get 3 pairs though....

                              Dale,

Why are you switching? The Eurolites sound like they worked okay for you. Where did you buy them and your city light LEDs again?
